Will your current website convert visitors to clients?

The Rule of Seven
The “Rule of Seven” in the online marketing world states that a new visitor to your website needs to be exposed to your marketing message or brand, on average, at least seven times before they are ready to make a significant decision in your favor or convert to a customer. But if your online presence is poorly designed, badly organized, or cluttered, or features content that isn’t compelling, you will have trouble making the “Rule of Seven” successful and may in fact damage your brand.

A successful website is about marketing, generating revenue, and ultimately maximizing brand value. A highly effective website should be developed by a team of knowledgeable, creative business and marketing professionals, graphic designers, and programmers. This team should have experience with online presence and branding skills. The online solution should be clearly seen with the use of crisp, clean content and imagery in an attractive format with easy-to-use navigation. This is why there are "7 Steps" in our Project Methodology, to ensure the "Rule of Seven" is successful in your online solution.

All websites are NOT created the same
Companies do not realize that there are different types of websites out there. Many firms use “template-style” designs which they deliver to you as a branded site. These types of websites look the same as thousands of other sites on the Internet. There are some firms that outsource your project to an independent contractor. The problem with this type of firm is that you are not dealing with the same team that already knows your brand. When dealing with your business-brand and millions are at stake, there is no time for acting like amateurs or pinching pennies. At Advance Website, our goal is to make our customers money.

A website is a primarily a marketing and sales tool for your company. For a site to meet the “Rule of Seven” criteria, it is essential that your solution is created by a team of experts in marketing, branding, programming, and design. The websites Advance Website builds are custom built from the ground up to meet your business needs.

Web 2.0 Development
Web 2.0 websites allow users to do more than just retrieve information. They can build on the interactive facilities of "Web 1.0" to provide "Network as platform" computing, allowing users to run web-applications entirely through a browser. Users can own the data on a Web 2.0 site and exercise control over that data. These sites may have an "Architecture of participation" that encourages users to add value to the application as they use it. This stands in contrast to very old traditional websites, the sort which limited visitors to viewing and whose content only the site's owner could modify. Web 2.0 sites often feature a rich, user-friendly interface based on Ajax or similar rich media. The sites may also have social-networking aspects.

The sometimes complex and continually evolving technology infrastructure of Web 2.0 includes server-software, content-syndication, messaging-protocols, standards-oriented browsers with plugins and extensions, and various client-applications. The differing, yet complementary approaches of such elements provide Web 2.0 sites with information-storage, creation, and dissemination challenges and capabilities that go beyond what the public formerly expected in the environment of the so-called "Web 1.0".

Web 2.0 websites typically include some of the following features/techniques:
  • Cascading Style Sheets to aid in the separation of presentation and content
  • Collaborative tagging, social classification, social indexing, and social tagging
  • Microformats extending pages with additional semantics
  • Rich Internet application techniques, often Ajax-based
  • Semantically valid XHTML and HTML markup
  • Syndication, aggregation and notification of data in RSS
  • Merging of content from different sources, client-side and server-side
  • Blog-publishing tools
